The Spongebob Movie Game
#1
Hi, I just got PCSX2 and so far I am loving it. One of the greatest emulators ever.

However one of my favourite ps2 games of all time is the Spongebob Movie Game. I tried playing it (NTSC), and the menu has flickering graphics. Not really much of a problem. However I start a new game and it freezes forever.

This is really one of the best game I've ever played, could anyone get a fix up for this game?

I'd really appreciate any help for this game.

In order to help you further with your problem, please make sure the following are all provided.
  • Your hardware specs - CPU, Graphics Card, Memory, Operating System.

you could try to cancel the "auto game fixed",or press the F9 to switch the software mode
#5
canceling auto game fixes is not a solution. please provide what jesalvein has asked for and also post the emulog.txt after the game freezes.

Pressing F9 just causes a black screen to show instead of a frozen game screen.
My Specs:
CPU- Intel i7-3630QM
RAM: 8 GB
OS: Windows 8.1 64bit
Graphics: Dual Graphics Intel HD 4000/AMD Radeon 7670M
I'm using PCSX2 1.2.1
Settings are non-default, I configured them according to the Configuration Guide, GSdx uses DirectX 11, not DX9, uses AMD graphics card.
The game doesn't crash, but it freezes like this: [Image: AQiEcSC.png]

How do I find emulog.txt?
#7
it's in mydocss\pcsx2\logs or in pcsx2 main dir\logs.

But anyways, from what I know, this game still has the "menus" ststus in compatibility list.
The most recent thread about this game was showing the same problem : http://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-SpongeBob-The-Movie

inside your pcsx2 folder click on a folder called logs or docs. the emulog.txt should be there.
run the game and after it freezes then go to the folder and post the emulog.txt

oh. if what jesalvein wrote is true then you cant go ingame. the status is still in menus.

Would still be a compatibility problem IMO.
YOu'll have to keep playing on your PS2 until maybe, one day, it finally becomes compatible with pcsx2
