The Thing 2002 aiming bug
Hi, so I'm super new to emulators and had so many issues with pcsx2 so far that i have resolved on my own
I know a lot of you guys get mad at people for being "noobs" or whatever
but im just trying to get some knowledge so be nice please
Anyways, i got The Thing to work perfectly except,

when you aim your gun with R1, it glitches rapidly back and forth between third person and first
and i cant move the cursor to aim
this is only important in certain situations but im screwed when i get to the harder parts with the sniper if i cant resolve this
any help is greatly appreciated

also, maybe i should post a different thread on this but certain games that have
more advanced graphics than gameplay during big cutscenes lag super bad
such as batman vengeance but gameplay and short cutscenes work perfectly
thanks again for any help

Are you using a gamepad? What happens if you use a keyboard key to map the r1 input?
Have you got a pad with some sort of weird turbo mode for the triggers? that would cause it to freak out

Windows 10
AMD A6-4400M APU with Radeon HD Graphics 2.70 GHz
4.00 GB Ram. 3.46 usable
64-bit OS

all isos

the things aiming glitch resolved itself somehow
so the issue is with jak and daxter and batman vengeance the cutscenes are terribly slow but
gameplay works perfectly and the opposite is true for resident evil 4 and star wars episode 3

thanks for responding guys
we don't support such an old version. please update at least to latest stable.
just FYI, that CPU is too weak for most games under pcsx2, expecially demanding ones like Jak & Daxter
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
RAM : 16 Go
yeah i thought my laptop might just be not good enough to run those games
oh well, guess ill just go to the used game store and get all the ones for my actual ps2
thanks for the help !
you're welcome.
and have a warning for piracy BTW
