That said, you could make an iso off your DVD, that would be a good way to check if your DVD contains any error

I searched for an alternative, called BurnAware.

BurnAware allows me to verify the disk, burn it, copy it to an ISO, etc.

maybe you should add an exception to your anti-virus, then.
imgburn is perfectly safe.
maybe there's and adware in the installer, but you can uncheck its installation

I tested it and the ISO isn't working, I used the Verify disc option, and it didn't encounter any errors, I proceeded to make an ISO, and use it, but still nothing, it stays at the same black/blank screen after the "Playstation 2" logo.
