Any mid-high end ATi or Nvidia card will work fine for PCSX2.

Nvidia cards are recommended ATi since the graphics plugin author only has an Nvidia and therefore optimizes for it. That said, my 3850 is by no means a monster and is an ATi card and I haven't had any problems with any games.

9600GT or 8800/9800GT or upper from nvidia do great, cant really speak for ATI's but I guess 4760/4830 or higher would do great too as soon as you use the right revision of GSdx with it.

8500gt is definitelly not suitable for the job.

just wondering but why would you say an 8500gt is not suitable?this is the specs from the card i have now. I am having some problems like no video when i load a cd in pcsx2 i hear the ps2 screen but nothing else. And i have to use the null settings to even get tthe far. I have directx 10 my cpu is a 4gig dual core, i have 4 gigs ram. I dont think its a hardware issue but i could use a better card maybe.

It's a pretty weak card specially in shader power, as you said tho it's probably not related to your problem anyway Tongue

If you're using a null renderer that's why you get no video, why cant you use the hardware/software renderers anyway?
