"The configured GS plugin file was not found"
#1
Hey all, running pcsx2 on a 2017 MacBook Air. When I open, I get up a popup window with "The configured GS plugin file was not found". When I go to the folder, I do indeed have the file. If I follow the popup to the config window and try to config the plugin, the app crashes. I can still run the game I'm trying to play, but performance is pretty jank and I'm wondering if this might help. If it's relevant, I'm still on Mojave but can update to Catalina if that would fix my woes. Thanks in advance! Here's the emulog:

update: it started working again when I told it to look somewhere else for files and then set it back to default. If you have any performance tips though let me know!

If you move the .app file to another folder after unzipping it, it won't complain at every launch about not being able to find its plugins

As for performance, ULV processors like the one in the MacBook Air aren't going to run PCSX2 very well, doubly so due to needing to use the software renderer to work around the current issue with the hardware renderer and intel graphics on Mac.  Once that gets resolved you should see better performance with the hardware renderer, but you'll still probably only be able to run lighter games.

Yeah I did notice switching from hardware to software rendering bumps me up to 100% performance, just a shame I can't change resolution on software mode. Is that issue something that's being worked on?

Software will always be 1x, as the issues it works around in the hardware renderer are AFAIK the reason the HW renderer is able to upscale

The HW renderer has been having issues on Intel GPUs on macOS, I'm surprised it's running at all.  When those get fixed, you may see improved performance in the HW renderer
