The games suddenly changed from 50 fps to 60 after updating the emulator

Apparently, your DMC DVD is a PAL version.
Hence the 50 fps

Does that mean that the only solution is to download an NTSC DVD?

uh oh....dont use the word download. You could change the PCSX2_vm. ini.  change the"FrameratePAL=60.00". It will speed it up a bit from 50fps.

As whninrome stated, DON'T download games! That is illegal and will get you in a lot of trouble here. You can try changing the frameratePAL to 60, but honestly, you're really not going to notice a big difference. It was probably only playing at 50fps before & just incorrectly was indicating 60fps. There is really no reason to mess with it as the games are playing at full speed (as I pointed out in my original post)

i can't change it because every time i change the FrameratePAL=50.00 to FrameratePAL=60.00 or FrameratePAL=59.97 it change itself to FrameratePAL=50.00 after i save the changes in PCSX2_vm. ini. what can i do?
