Hi, I'm using PCSX 1.4.0 under Windows 10 x64 and my legit PAL backups of Time Crisis 2 and 3 are not booting. I also tried NTSC and PAL rips and full backups that can be downloaded from sites like *removed* and *removed*, any version/iso/rip of these games can't boot using any BIOS.
I remember that years ago (5 or 6) i played well to Time Crisis 2 and 3, so now I don't understand what changes did in PCSX2 to fail botting these games.
I tested with the PCSX2's safer presets and trying to use different OpenGL/D3D settings, no way, these games doesn't boot, however in the PCSX2 wiki they say that both games are playable 100% with no mistakes, how can be that?, maybe I'm missing something to activate in my PCSX2 configuration to be able boot Time Crisis 2 and 3?.
Thanks for read.

Delete any of the ones you downloaded. We won't support pirated games here.
Can you post an emulog after you try your legit version please?

Of course, I would like to supply a debug report but first plese could you explain me what you mean for "emuLog"?, I tried to find what it is or if its part of PCSX2 then how can I enable it, but I didn't found the answer.
Thanks and sorry for my English and for the names spam.

Upload the emuLog.txt file in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Hi again
I'm using the portable version.
Please once the logs are read could confirm me whether this kind of error could be fixed from the user side (modifying settings in PCSX2) or just I need to wait for a new PCSX2 release.
Devs./coders, thanks for your time.
This is the emulog for Time Crisis 2:
Please note the error line message, ¿maybe is this the fail-boot reason?:
Code: [wx] Failed to load shared library '...\PCSX2\Plugins\gsdx32-avx2.dll' (error 1114
Just to clarify: I didn't touched/replaced/added anything in the original "plugins" folder of PCSX2, and Ican play perfectlly other games I have (most, not all).

Well firstly delete that BIOS file you downloaded. Please remove any pirated stuff as we won't help you with that.
Secondly are you using fast boot or full boot? are you sure the FWNull you have is from the new copy of PCSX2 and not an old one?

Go to Config > Emulation Settings, remove the preset on the bottom left and set EE Cyclerate to -1.

I always perform a full boot (otherwise most games doesn't want to load translated in my country language), all the plugins are what the official PCSX2 package contains, downloaded from the official site, thanks for asking that.
I appreciate your help and also I understand your moderator role but... is this advice about BIOS usage really necessary in this forum?
I mean, it couldn't be really illegal the usage of a downloaded BIOS dump since the end-user (me) clarifies that have a physical purchased PS2 or even not necessary at all because there are legal ways to download them from all legal websites...
A person must be a master gurú of programming to know the way to dump the BIOS from a PS2 instead of downloading one already dumped, and even with the necessary reverse engineering knowledges that of course I dont have, how one person can really expect to find and buy the necessary dispositive(s) to connect to a PS2 to perform a BIOS dump in the year 2016 when PS2 is a product totally obsolete in commerce meanings? (and the things/games/dispositives that are sell are considered vintage reliques that costs thousands or miles of dollars...)
Sorry but this kind of legality advice about using a downloaded BIOS I think is... well... you know, is not necessary neither is not realistic because no one can do that, no one except few rich people or programming gurus. But the main point of all this for me is that it can't be illegal the usege of a downloaded BIOS, at least if one person retains its console with dust and cobwebs in his trunk of memories...
I know, I better must stop talking about this and shut up and say that you have reason... just, I really think the BIOS advice is not necessary anymore for anyone else.

Amazing, it worked!!!
Thank you too to give support, thankyou both guys!
EDIT: However now I can't save or load a savegame on Time Crisis 3, the game can't recognize a mem card. This happens for a lot of games when the safety preset checkbox is decreased, now I disabled the safe preset checkbox as you recommended me to be able modify the cyclerate and don't know what I can do to fix the memcard thing.
Problem solved.

Unless that legal website is sony's website, it isn't a legal website, nor a legal download. You have paid for the license rights to the BIOS in your PS2, the only legal way is to dump it yourself from your own console, the same is true for games.
