"This thread is over 8 months old, and as per the forum rules, will now be closed down. Please create your own thread for this issue and refrain from posting in old threads in the future. Thanks."

P.S. I would maybe even add a parenthesized statement in there after the 'create your own thread' telling them to make sure to post their system specs and PCSX2 version Tongue

"Please refrain from posting in threads over 8 months old, this is commonly referred to as necroing. If you still have an issue please post it in a new thread, and give as much detail as possible."

That shouldn't apply to Compatibility threads in the compatibility section right? I saw some closed ones there too.

My bad, when I went to look for it again, I see that it wasn't in that section but had a similar title and had gotten it confused with a compatibility list thread (had 2 tabs side by side). Nevermind.

Well the 2 in my example was just a placeholder number. I like karasuhebi's text best:

"This thread is over 8 months old, and as per the forum rules, will now be closed down. Please create your own thread for this issue and refrain from posting in old threads in the future. Thanks.

I modified it a bit:

"The most recent post in this thread is more than 8 months old. Please create a new thread and refrain from posting in threads older than 8 months in the future. Please also review the forum rules. Thank you."

I will submit this to bositman, along with the new rule #3 text of:

Code:
No spamming, off-topic or advertising posts. We will not tolerate posts that are either irrelevant to a thread's subject or to a forum's subject. Before posting, please try to find the forum that is most fit for your thread. Furthermore, please do not post in threads that have not been posted in for 8 months or more.

Alright, the necro tool is complete and rule 3 is edited. I will now test it on this thread! Tongue2

The most recent post in this thread is more than 8 months old. Please create a new thread and refrain from posting in threads older than 8 months in the future. Please also review the forum rules. Thank you.

And it works. I reopened the thread though!

Your text simply fits in with our other tools and stuff the best, and it's the easiest to understand.
