Hi,
I don't know anything about emulators besides just how to run the games I want fairly well, so it may be a stupid question. Is it possible to share save files between different versions of the same game?
On my example:
I have an ISO file of Devil May Cry (USA ver). However after I finish the game it freezes after the ending subtitles and I can't continue the game on other difficulty levels. My guess is it's a faulty ISO file. I've already tried getting an European version of the game, since it's nearly impossible to get a different USA image.. And I'm not super keen on replaying the entire game again just to get to the same state, if there's a chance I don't have to.
So. Would it be possible to move the save states to the European version? Or at least to a different USA version?
If not maybe someone would know how to fix the game freezing after its end...?

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

you're probably screwed, then.
that one you extracted the bios from is a very early JP model known to cause issues with pcsx2
