For some reason I can't get any game to stop slowing down when (from what I can gather) a further amount of rendering happens.
My current rig:
FX-8350
RX 580 8GB
1920x1080
3D Mark and all other programs/games run fine so it's gotta be my settings not the hardware.
I've tried everything. OpenGL, DX11, DX9, software, hardware, updated and older plugins, speedhacks, window size, etc. I'm hoping that I'm just skipping a setting. It seems to have better results when I increase the EEC by one or two. MTVU is enabled.
For a specific game example, Ratchet and Clank. Should be fine so long as I have mipmapping on basic in hardware mode. It is, except for this problem where it slows down when what looks like it has more to render. Only happens in-game, not in menus or cutscenes.
My hardware usage is no more than 50% for both components.
Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.
Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

Should already be disabled. My CPU is overclocked to the highest it can with LM and Fujipoly extreme on the VRM's lol. If it's not able to handle it then I guess I need to remember to go with intel next build around. Stupid threads vs cores.
Which game are you trying to play though? The FX8350 isn't that bad of a CPU to have that much trouble with most games in PCSX2. I know the first few FX-Chips (Bulldozer) were horrid, but even my Phenom II could run most games at 1080p without much trouble
