Turbo Boosting question

So i bought the Samsung series 7 Chronos 17 inch and i am trying to play ffx but it seems like my turbo boost is only boosting every 10 seconds and the boost lasts for about 2 to 3 seconds. It gets up to about 3.2 ghz which is fine because the games run full speed at that. I was wondering if there is any way i can make turbo boosting actually useful for emulation?

you will reach 3.2 Ghz if only one core is used.
that's how turbo boosting actually works. Since pcsx2 uses from 2 to 3 cores most of the time, turbo boost is then uneffective.

i just found out a solution. if i set my affinity on the task manager to 3 cpu threads instead of 8 then the turbo boost is at a constant 3.2 ghz. i know that may cause overheating issues so i just wont play for extended periods of time
