USB dance pad not listed as a detected device
#1
Good Morning Guys,

I cannot get PCSX2 to recognise my newly-purchased L-TEK Ex Pro 2, which is plugged into a Dell Inspiron 17R via USB. Some details about my setup here:

- Software: PCSX2 v2.1.168
- OS: Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
- Processor: Intel Core i7-4500U CPU @ 1.80GHz
- RAM: 8GB
- All settings are default (no speed hacks, no presets etc.)

Some other potentially relevant points:

- Gamepad Tester successfully registers all presses from my L-TEK: Arrow pads are B17, B1, B3 and B0; the start and select buttons are B9 and B8, respectively
- Ubuntu detects the L-TEK as “Atmel Corp. L-TEK Dance Pad PRO” via lsusb
- Stepmania 5.0 detects the L-TEK and can be configured just fine
- PCSX2 does NOT list the L-TEK under Settings > Controllers
- I’ve tried all four USB ports on this laptop and doesn’t make any difference

Any help or suggestions you guys can offer is gratefully received.

Guys,

I found an adequate workaround, by using AntiMicroX (at github: Search for antimicrox) which is also available in the standard Ubuntu repository. AntiMicrox recognises the L-TEK Ex Pro 2 immediately upon being plugged into the USB terminal, at which point the GUI can then be used to map the L-TEK input to a key on the keyboard. So one executes AntiMicroX and leaves in running in the background prior to executing PCSX2. For me this is good enough. I hope this helps.
