Unable to get past start menue

Hello,
I have an issue with every game i emulated on pcsx2. after i arrive to the main menu, start  button doesn't work. the arrow control work, but when i press start (or x when x is the choosing button) it does nothing. I tried prescribed solutions i found on the issue online, rebound the pad controls, unbound the pad2 controls. unbound all and then rebound them all. tried associating start to enter on my keyboard. Nothing worked.
i tried that on 3 games, Crash Bandicoot - The wrath of cortex, Marvel nemesis - Rise of the Imperfects. Mortal kombat - Armageddon.
It works for none of them. Note that start button works for skipping cutscenes in mortal kombat, but when arriving to the main menu, it doesn't work.
Also, for marvel nemesis, the choosing button is X, and it also doesn't work

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

please post your lilypad settings (screenshot all tabs)

You PAD1 settings are mostly wrong
Clear all bindings and set the keys properly(right click and choose clear all)
You are missing all of the face buttons and the D-Pad and you set the face buttons on your gamepad as right analog directions

yeah, i did that, it seems for some reason that the analog directions erase the d-pad and the face buttons when they are set after them (in the order of the set all function)
However, i set the face buttons and the d-pad after the analog directions. and now it works. thanks you very much

Just to save you some time, Marvel Nemesis - Rise of the Imperfects doesn't work and will likely never work on PCSX2, it will always crash (or look a mess) as soon as it tries to go ingame.

Yeah i figured that once i could go in. gave it as example for the main menu but the issue was the same with others. But, yes, Marvel nemesis do'snt work once you go in the game
