Unable to play savestate as it's not supported

I'm not sure if this is the place to post this, but I have a problem with my save state, I update to the newest version today and now I'm not able to play my game file from prevoius version and I need help in maybe converting it. I've checked out many different sites and youtube videos and no luck. Any help would be nice.

savestates aren't cross version compatible.
use older version and save to memcard. then transfer your memcard to newer version

How do I get it to an older version? I'm not sure which one I had, but I had the one before the today's update. Is there any way I can do that, to reverse it? And I'm also unsure of how to transfer memcard files from old to new, is there any kind of guide to do so?

you just have to map it in memcards menu
i don't know any way to determine which version you had. you'll have to test by yourself until you find a suitable one
