Using 2 controllers to control Player 1

Hello there, 

I am trying to use 2 controllers to both simultaneously control player 1. This is for the purpose of tournaments on budokai tenkaichi 3 with my brother through Parsec. I’ve tried looking through the forums before posting but unfortunately was unable to find a solution. I am on the latest nightly version. 

Would anybody be kind enough to post a basic set of steps for enabling this? Would both controllers be able to simultaneously control player 1? Or is there a quick switch off process?

When you shift + click on a binding, you can set multiple values to the binding.
Do so to map both controllers to the pad 1
