Using the emulator without a disc drive

I have used the emulator with my main pc and it works perfectly fine, no problem. However I want to use the emulator on my laptop. The laptop I have is windows but doesn't have a disc drive. I have the ISO file for the game I want to play, in this case Jak 2. Tried launching up the game in both Plugin and ISO but neither want to work. 
When I use the ISO option with the file selected I get the following message : File not found. Path : IsoFileSystem
When I use the plugin option I get the following message : CDVD plugin failed to open. Your computer may have insufficient resources, or incompatible hardware/drivers. 
I know that without a disc drive the plugin feature maybe wouldn't work but that is my query, does that affect how the emulator works? Does the emulator work without a disc drive?

ISO should work fine, if you're getting File not found, you either haven't selected the right path for the ISO file you copied over, or you have it zipped up.

It is selected in the ISO selector and appears as Jak 2 (USA) (+ the rest) but still doesn't want to work

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):
