im using the same drivers on the 630 and 275 and both support dynamic vsync
its off in both and theres no tearing in pcsx2 with dwm enabled.

hmm, can't seem to put the drivers settings in any state which causes this.

what else are you guys running in the background
because anything with a overlay, or hooks the process for information could be causing problems.

Alright, it seems turning Aero on fixes the problem. I'd been using the "Windows Classic" desktop theme previously, but I switched to an Aero theme and the screen-tearing went away.

I was able to enable DWM in classic in services. It said started and I set it to automatically start with Windows. Restarted and stayed enabled with Classic.
I did not know Aero was necessary for it to work properly.
As the older plugins are able to work without this, I still would like to see a solution for classic users, as Aero is a terrible resource hog, and I have to disable it for many other programs to work without issues.

Hmm, DWM is the desktop window manager, but it seems the compositor is only enabled with aero
