alright so i got the game and made it an ISO.
ive managed to get it work on the 0.9.7 3113svn on ~45FPS.
on 0.9.6 it shows the first frame of the opening cutscene and the game freezes.

my spec:
intel C2D e6300 1.8Ghz
nvidia geforce 9800GT
3GB ram

got all the speedhack to full power
got the tri-ace gamefix
gsdx using 1920*1200 int. res.
spu-2

any good configs or ways to boost my FPS?

use less internal ress and use less speedhacks omg they are not caramels Wacko use only the ones that give speed for you, test them 1 by 1 and put both clamps to NONE (beware they may create problems like speedhacks do the same)

Oh really?

This game is one of the most demanding PS2 games IIRC

The only fix would be to use Software Mode but, the game will not look pretty that way. It's nothing too serious and you shouldn't pay much attention to it, it doesn't really ruin the gameplay. That won't be fixed for a while since Gabest vanished ever since he got married Tongue2

intel C2D e6300 1.8Ghz << Double those numbers for _almost_ always 60fps.

The game runs fine for me 60-110 fps, but for some reason I get these mad checkerboard red lines all over the place on the field. Is there a speedhack or something else that can fix this? I have everything stock r3113 except for the Tri-ace hack.

If you mean the forest, then no. Actually there's a way but, you have to change some lines of code in GSDX which is a waste since it was said that other games will get messed up unless you revert the code to the way it was.

If you want to know how, ask rama about it since he knows and was the one that mentioned the code to fix it I believe......

If the red lines are happening in some other place other than the forest, then post a screenshot of the place so we can take a look at it and help you solve it.

Ya, just the forest so far. Thanks for the quick response. I think I'll be fine if it's just that.

Yep, that problem only happens in the forest.

The only 2 issues you will encounter will be:

1-Messed up graphics in the forest
2- Vertical lines in some cutscenes

Not sure if this bug was fixed (I hope not), it will make you laugh a bit....
