Valkyrie Profile 2 Lower Screen Cut off
#1
Hi,
I ran VP2 at an acceptable frame rate. However, the lower screen and the dialogue got cut off (see attachment) when I used dx10 Hardware with GSDX1469 and the latest beta. dx10 software seems to fix this but of course, w/o Anti-aliasing and hi-res, the game look like crap on HDTV.

Any help?

which is the ugliest of the three graphic options and look like my ps2's graphic on HDTV. dx10 software mode is a bit prettier. Is there anything I could do with dx10 Hardware?

Software should look the same as it will use native resolution, there's nothing else that can be done in hardware except use native or maybe try ZeroGS or ZZogl plugin maybe it'll work better.

Hey, i thought that game wasn't even playable xD. On compatibility list it's marked as "nothing" but for what i can see that's more than nothing -_-'

BTW agentghost would you mind telling me your system specs please? =)

Yes. And you can only fix the cutoff area with an ugly hack right now.
But don't worry, its very high on my todo list (and not just mine Tongue2 ).

My spec is Q6600 3.4Ghz (overclocked)
8GB DDR2 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB
Vista 64

Please note that PCSX2 emulation is very CPU dependent. You should upgrade your CPU to i7 for faster framerate. Graphic card is not necessary.

use the latest beta with Tri-Ace Game Fix checked. That should boot Valkyrie Profile 2.

My only other wish is Jak X: Combat Racing game. Praying that it will work with PCSX2 some day. God bless PCSX2 team!
