Valkyrie Profile 2 : Silmeria hard lag
#1
Hi guys, I want to play Valkyrire Profile 2 on my laptop, but the game lag as hell.

Here is my laptop :
Sony VAIO VPCEB1M1E
CPU : intel i5 450M (quad core, 2.4 GHz)
RAM : 8 GB DDR2
GC : AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5670 (1 GB)

I tried Valkyrie Profile on 2 computers, the other one is my old computer, 4 GB RAM, intel core 2 Q6600, Nvidia GT 520 (1 GB), and the game lag as hell too.

I can play tons of games, Final Fantasy 12, Ratchet and Clank 2, Rogue Galaxy etc ... But Valkyrire Profile 2 is insane, cinematics works totaly fine, but when I'm really in the game, it lags hard, I have 5 or 6 FPS.

I tried to play the game with PCSX2 0.9.8, 1.1.0, 1.1.1, 1.2.1, it lags all the time.

My computer is too low ? The game isn't playable on PCSX2 ? I don't have the good video plugin ?

Your computers are too slow, this is a very demanding game.

Also, I can't see how you can run Ratchet and Clank 2 on that. My CPU is much faster and I can only barely.

Ratchet and Clank 2 works perfectly fine on my laptop at 1920*1080, I can also speed up the game to 100 FPS, but sometimes some textures simply disapears.

Thanks for ur answers ! I will wait for a new and better computer :'(

Oh, you are running in hardware mode.

Ratchet and Clank requires software mode for the textures to work properly.

Try with skipdraw hack set to 1
CPU : AMD Ryzen 7 3800X
Mobo : Asus PRIME B450-PLUS
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070

It's ok, I know now that my computer is too low, I tried with skipdraw set to "1", the game is still laggy.
