well, you got me, try some speedhacks and see if that fixes the speed in sw mode (use MTVU for one)

Updated to latest version of PCSX2, switched to using Direct3D 10 (Hardware) and just like that, the problem seems to have sorted itself, at least for the moment. Thanks for all the help, guys!
