Hello everyone!

Last year, summer of 2017 I downloaded PCSX2 version 1.4.0 and was playing Wild Arms Alter Code: F on it. It ran fine. I played at least over 2 hours on the game without issue. In fact, I even played some other games and had no trouble with it running. I made no adjustments to it when installing it, it was all pretty much defaults. The only thing I configured was the controller. Like I said, it ran fine.

Then a little over a year passed, and this week I decided to turn my attention back to my old Wild Arms game. However, when I started it up and loaded the save file the game started to lag in parts, almost like it was running in slow motion, then it would speed back up, then dip back down again. It did this with another game too. I don't understand what happened. My computer runs other, more sophisticated video games just fine. I've tried adjusting the settings, even uninstalling and reinstalling the program, but nothing seems to work. Please help.

Windows 7 64 bit
Intel Core i3-4360 3.70 ghz
8gb RAM
NVIDIA Gforce GT 610

Will these work for me? My Windows is 64 bit. These say 32 bit.

Update: I went ahead and tried it anyway. It didn't work. I'm still having the same problem.

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):

stupid question:
Have you ever cleaned up your PC during that 1 year timeframe? Because the symptoms looks like your PC is suffering from performance throttling due to heat

@ darkash - I believe I cleaned my PC earlier this year. However, when I got home today I cleaned the insides again (even though they weren't that dirty). Still has the same problem, but thanks for the suggestion.

it's known to be quite a buggy one, especially with pcsx2.
you may encouter many random problems with it.
