What does CLAMPING really do and mean?

I mean seriously, even PCSX2 won' t tell me what option is this. I always put it on none... Am I doing it rite Smile ?

I dunno what it does in PCSX2, but clamping just sets a number within the given limits. For example Clamp(pepe, 0,1) would make pepe 0 if it was less than zero or 1 if it was greater.
