What is the difference between GameIndex.dbs and GameIndex.yaml

Hi, I am using the emulator, and in one particular game, it tells me that it requires the GameIndex.yaml file, but I have the GameIndex.dbs. And I do not know what is the difference and what they are for, I would love if possible, an answer to my question, thank you very much.

GameIndex has been moved to a yaml format in 1.7 for a while now. I would recommend updating to latest dev release.
