What is the most recent version of PCSX2 that is compatible with Win7
#1
I am aware that Windows 7 is no longer supported, but one of my PCs still operates on it. The stable version 1.6.0 of PCSX2 can be installed and run on Win7 x64 and performs well, except that it has to be used offline. Unlike the latest release, 1.6.0 does not have the built-in network connection capability, and my attempts to add a connection to it have been unsuccessful. Unfortunately, the latest PCSX2 releases (1.7.4 as of this writing) and several other 1.7.x versions cannot be installed on Win7 64x. I am only dealing with this issue because I need PCSX2 to connect for a friend online.

Therefore, my questions are: What is the most recent version of PCSX2 that is compatible with Win7? And, is there a compatible version that has the network module built-in?

This topic came up sorta recently... hold on... according to this thread:
https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Last-Rel...-windows-7

v1.7.0-dev-1300 is mentioned as working on win7 in one of the last posts.

There have been a bunch of topics about win7 and v1.7+ compatibility. Searching the forums for 'Windows 7' will probably give more info(I was screwing around with linux/win7/win8.1 installs last year. There are some good topics about win7 but you have to search for them. I'm on different pc with a different browser now so I don't have my bookmarks anymore, haha.)
