Isn't this the requirements?

Minimum
* Windows/Linux OS
* CPU that supports SSE2 (Pentium 4 and up, Athlon64 and up)
* GPU that supports Pixel Shaders 2.0
* 512mb RAM
Recommended
* Windows Vista 32bit/64bit
* CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 3.2ghz or better
* GPU: 8600gt or better
* 1gb RAM (2gb if on Vista)

I have more than recommended
*I have windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
*I have AMD Phenom II X2 @ 3.6GHz
*I have Graphics 9600GSO Verto 768MB GDDR3 192BIT memory interface
* I have 5gigs of ddr3

So what is wrong with pcsx2? What else do I need?

a better CPU.
those recommended requirements are for some games, but some others will require more than the recommended requirements you quoted
The games you're trying to run are probable quite intensive.

In addition, pcsx2 became more demanding with newer revisions since it renders more things more accurately.
CPU : I7 2600K Oc'ed @ 4.2Ghz
Mobo : Intel P67 southbridge
GPU : NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 Ti
RAM : 6 Go

the 1.0.0 have less speed than 0.9.8 !

well i haven't fully tested it ... Sad

not really.
but AFAIK, those "recommended settings" were estabvlished at the time 0.9.6 was out.

and 0.9.8 is slower but more accurate than 0.9.6 and 0.9.7

GT series are very demanding, dunno about TR. But I guess it's the same.
Better keep playing them on your Ps2 intil you can afford a better, modern, PC.

But I sold my ps2 Glare after I got my ps3 and now I miss some of my ps2 games. I don't feel like wasting $99 for a slim or like $20 for a used ps2 that I will throw away later. I know I will sell my ps3 too when ps4 comes out. My ps3 isn't backwards compatible Sad its the slim version ps3.
