What version for Ubuntu 20.04?

Do you mean it's not only performance lost, but pcsx will not work at all?
Cause overclocked to 4ghz it is really fine in terme of performance (for me), don't need more.

Thank you to clarify this point.

So I guess I have now to find a way to install the highest 1.6 version.

ok, then it's v1.6.0. (I think there was 1.6.9999999-zz-ultimus version)

I think, any work around for amd phenom limitation? Like if I compile it myself?

just be happy something kinda runs on a 15 years old cpu Smile
compiling it yourself won't change anything

For Ubuntu 20.04, the AppImage for 1.7 was recently recommended at the end of 2023, so it's best to use that I think.
