Problem is A Vulkan renderer wouldn't bring anything interesting perfomance wise since most of the functions exlusive to it aren't useful for ps2 emulation

What I mean is, if AMD pulled their fingers out and wrote a proper Open GL driver which speeds up performance in Open GL people with a Radeon card would not be asking for Vulkan.
Essentially people like the OP sidestep the issue and blame you guys when it is just AMD being useless in this small regard. They also fall over in the original Wolfenstein The New Order which is fully rendered in Open GL, Nvidia cards do a lot better simply due to better Open GL driver support.

true.
People tend to think Vulkan is magical and will solve everything. (because it has been efficient with other emus like Cemu, Citra or Yuzu)
What most people don't get is the fact that PS2 emulation is nowhere near the forementioned emulators.
And thus, won't get noticeable benefits from vulkan

OpenGL will perform quite better on latest dev builds compared to 1.6 on amd.

AetherSX2 is based on PCSX2 and has a Vulkan backend.
Will that feature be ported back to PCSX2?

Good news! I don't blame anyone but for the community it would be better to find solutions for AMD gpu processors it's unfortunate to just tell us to change GPUs

I just tested this version is perfect! I have much better performance on games like MGS3 Jak and Daxter and many others. I knew that Vulkan brings better compatibility for some of us.
