Where is the backup save state in 1.7?
#1
The last PCSX2 version, 1.6 had always worked well for me. Just now I installed 1.7 and I realised that even with "create save states backup" enabled in settings there is no backup save state, and shift+f3 doesn't work either! Is this a bug? If it is please fix it asap, having a save state overwritten and having no way to restore the older backup is horrible.

Do you know what a backup save state is? I am asking why there is no backup save in the dropdown menu even with the setting enabled.

So it seems that 1.7 does create backup save states in the sstates folder, but the backup isn't show up in the dropdown menu. Shift-F3 doesn't work either.

This is how the menu appears on 1.6:

Backup is only there if your savestate crashes.
If it happens, rename its extension, and your good to go.

Actually, that's what a backup is supposed to be...

I know I can rename the backup, but we should be able to restore it through the menu or shift-F3. The feature was there in 1.6 and there is no reason for it to be removed.

There is.
It's to prevent users from using dzvestates too much considering they can break quite easily.
That said, if you want it back, PRs are welcome.
And if PR don't merged, you can fork as much as you want
