Which laptop?
I need to buy a laptop for college and i figured i might as well get one that can game/emulate ps2 and gc games away from my house or console. I am wondering which laptop would be a better choice. price isnt much of an issue at all

This one is a lot cheaper and a faster CPU but the HD doesnt run as fast. Not really sure if that will make a big difference at all.

This one is a bit more pricey but the GPU and HD seems to be a bit better which im assuming isnt that big of a difference

Just buy a pc and a cheap laptop for school. Don't game too much also or you'll be like most gamers in school "dropouts".
CPU: SandyBridge-E 3970X @ 5 Ghz GPU: Quad sli GTX 690's
MOBO: EVGA Classified SRX STORAGE: 8x Samsung 840 Pro 512 GB (4 TB) RAID 0
RAM: CORSAIR Dominator Platinum 96GB 2133 Mhz OS: Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit
COOLER: Phase Cooling OCZ Cryo-Z (Temps: -37 C) PSU: EVGA SuperNova Nex1500 Classified Biggrin

I already have a PC that can run Final fantasy and KH i just figured i might as well get a laptop that can do both because i travel very often and would like to game outside of my cold room haha
The CPU of the first laptop is good, but with that weak integrated GPU you can only stick with native resolution.

Both the CPU and GPU of the second laptop is GREAT.
thanks. yeah i am leaning towards the second one. hoping i can turboboost and emulate smoothly

well if you're willing to spend that much on a gaming laptop you can just get this http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/...1&csid=_61
I can tell you that I have a pretty decent gaming laptop and a good desktop.
At class in college if the course is boring I tend to get into small flash, 100 mb games, tekken etc (so no intensive games) and I am not paying attention anyway. So you can take any kind of laptop you want, it's kind of the same thing when it comes to school.
you can get a good dell inspiron or an asus laptop. these are good for gaming. just make sure it has high ram and a good dedicated graphics card with high ram

u can also use hp pavilion dv6 or dv7 laptops for gaming, but these models have a heating problem so u need to cool machine as u game
that actually might be worth the 200 extra dollars just because it would probably last me a couple years longer before it is outdated
Dell Are terrible laptops/desktops so refuse from buying them. You pay way more for what you get. Buy indeed an Asus or Acer for that matter.
