Why do character models sometimes corrupt?

You never see it on an actual PS2...So why do random ploygons of character models, or even the entire models, sometimes shoot off into infinity, as if the game is corrupted?

because it's emulation ?
and emulation isn't perfect

And the more complex the game/system you try to emulate, the more likely there are to be errors, and the more severe those errors will be?
