Why don’t the speed hacks work
#1
I’m asking because I have tekken 5 and mgs3 and while both games do run. They aren’t running at 100%. It lags and not horribly? But enough there it does get annoying and I’d like a smoother speed, but  when I mess with the speedhack settings, it never helps the game speed. I’ve tried every setting and it doesn’t help. What is the point in having speedhacks if it doesn’t increase the gameplay speed?

Please post the contents of the emulog.txt file after the problem occurs. The file can be found in "My Documents\PCSX2\logs" for the installer version or in "PCSX2\logs" for the portable/binary version.

Please make sure to enclose your emulog in code tags like so (remove the empty space on the closing code tag!):
[code]

your cpu isn't bad, but still a tad on the low side for demanding games like the ones you're using.
try latest git build, it may help a bit.
what is your gpu ?

Yeah I’ve had this dell laptop for about 3 or 4 years now and it’s still runs pretty good. And it actually has two graphic cards, nvidia GeForce gtx 960M And Intel hd graphics 530.

And I’ll try to download the latest build if you think it will help. But does that mean my memory won’t be saved anymore or could I just simply take my saves from my current version to the new version?

just copy/paste the memcard files over, and you're good to go
