Why in the world does Haunting Ground look like this?

It's only in certain areas that it looks like this. Elsewhere it looks perfectly fine.

Make sure you're using the latest builds. However, you might also encounter this issue:

I'm using the latest build of PCSX2 and running the game in 3D9 software mode, as that's the only mode that allows the post-processing to work properly (except for certain areas where it seems to go absolutely nuts, like in the image).

I don't have the game and can talk on specifics, but post processing in general might be the cause of the glitch itself. Have you tried deactivating some of them to try and locate the culprit, or if is a game specific issue on defaults also?

The post-processing effects are a part of the game itself. They work as intended most of the time, it's just in certain areas that they freak out and I'm not sure why.

I see, I thought you are talking about some shadding or such, Devina's post Pinpointed the blending issues, although different in appearance they may be correlated, what may help the devs debugging it.
