Why is my pcsx2 laggy?
#1
My specs are:
PROCESSOR AMD Athlon™ II 645 Quad-Core Processor
OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit
MEMORY (RAM) 6GB PC3-10600 DDR3
HARD DRIVE 1.5TB (5400RPM) SATA
VIDEO GRAPHICS ATI Radeon™ HD 4200 integrated graphics. Up to 2943MB Total

I play using GSdx 4863 sse2 0.1.16 direct10(hardware)
It lags when i try to play 512x512 or native, but when i play on 256x256 it plays smooth but the graphics are horrible.

Main PC1:i5-4670,HD7770(Active!)
Main PC2:i5-11600K,GTX1660Ti(Active!)

yup it's is weak to run that crappy PC best to play on your actual PS2 don't expect magic configuration on that 2 DBZ title games instead try other games that is not very demanding.

Ok, so its slow because of my cpu n gpu? i thought my cpu was fine, and gpu was reasonable. i assumed that it might've been something wrong with my settings perhaps. I think i read that pcsx2 requires a dual core cpu, mines is quad core. as gpu requirements, i haven't read anything about it yet.

Just an idea, being that your GPU is your biggest loser why not get the latest svn
http://buildbot.orphis.net/pcsx2/
Use Software Render and enable in Speed Hacks
MTVU hack
MVu flag hack
Enable INTC spin hack
Enable wait loop hack
And set EE cyclerate to 2
In Gsdx set the render to Software and the Extra rendering threads to 6
I hope that helps you

Set software threads to 3, he doesn't have a octo-core CPU, So he can't do 6.
