Why this emulator works bad now?

tried the first version that i downloaded from 7 aug of 2022 and IT WORKS PERFECT

seems that they ruined this emulator with updates...

yep. it was made on purpose, to make sure no one uses it.

1 question, though. why are you dumping textures continuously ?

async texture loading is the only one enabled in the general settings, the properties of each game shows it like this

As emulators become more accurate, that is emulating the code and effects properly as per the real hardware, the performance requirements typically go up. A prior version of PCSX2 may be less demanding because it is using hacks to bypass tricky/less understood elements of the real hardware, or it's just not fully implemented, and when those aspects can be fully rendered then that requires beefier hardware to keep up.

So nothing is/was broken, that's just how things go in software. Either play with a lower res or keep using your older emu version

Playing Devil May Cry 3 SE with nightly version. Doing some basic modding with textures. Unfortunately, can't get textures dumped from some of the cutscenes. For example, the first one where Dante meets Arkham. I'm running the emulator with the latest update. Tried getting pac files to cooperate, but no luck. Kind of frustrating.
