Why we need to remove some effects for run good?

Question
I have a simply question.
Why we need to remove some effects (post-processing...) to play with good speed and with good graphic?
Playstation 2 is not an hi-tech console, why we need a Pc better than a Playstation 3 for play good and without some graphic effects?

In future PCSX2 emulator will be able to run PS2 games at full speed and with same graphic of PS2?

SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH
My PC: i5-3570K, 8 Gb DDR3, GTX295, Windows 7 Home Premium 64.

This is your first error, for its generation it is a powerful (but highly inefficient) console of its generation, i think the best way for me to describe it would be for you to read the following link

Because we are talking here about emulation. Means making specific soft running on a machine that basically doesn't have the same architecture as the original one.

It's like using an "on the fly" translator. You launch your game, the emulator translates all the instuctions to make them understandable by your pc.
The more accurate the translation is, the more your PC has to be powerful.

EDIT : refraction was just quicker than me ^^

Wrong question.

The good one would be : "Will PCs be able to run any PS2 games at full speed using pcsx2 ?"Biggrin

no jes, I don't like to play with full speed if the game appear ugly or at least with bad graphic quality.
So I want to play with PS2 original quality.

So I want to play with PS2 original quality.

Then use "native" resolution in gsdx and turn off AA in ZeroGS.
You'll get the exact same aspect you have using a real PS2Biggrin

I hope you're not expecting perfection, because pcsx2 is far from perfect. Although a lot of games play as if they were in the real ps2. I wouldn't go back to my ps2 right now, I like playing with high internal resolution Tongue2.

right now all my games play prettier in PCSX2 than in my PS2.

Just try FFXII in 2560 x 1600 resolution. the thing is amazing

If I set 1680x1050 resolution (same as my desktop), then emulator crash.
