Wierd crashes

Every game I play will eventually crash randomly, but it's unlike every crash I've seen before. Instead of returning to the desktop, it mutes all sounds and blackens the screen.

Windows 7 x86
Graphics card Nvidia Geforce GT 430

Pcsx2 0.9.6
