Hey there, I'm getting a new laptop and I was wondering about the chances of being able to use the emulator on it.

Specs :
CPU : AMD Turion64 X2 @ 2.1Ghz
GPU : ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3470 Hybrid X2 @ 256MB
RAM : 4096 DDR2 @ ???

Enough said.

Go to the video sections and look at the desktops those folks build for fullspeed, and you'll notice specs like:

-Core2Dou @ 3.6Ghz
-512MB 8800GT
-DDR2 800

The desktop version of that

If you want anything close to full speed anyway.

There's a reason most folk use a desktop

The laptops you can go into future shop and best buy are crap for playing PCSX2 (usually) you need to get a custom made jobbie for games.

But if you have the choice TRY to get an intel over AMD
