Will it work with windows 8?

I just got a new laptop came with windows 8, would pcsx2 latest version work with windows 8?

As far as im aware PCSX2 works fine on windows 8

I've a problem in Windows 8:

"XA2 may not be available on your system.
Ensure that you have the latest DirectX runtimes installed, or use
DirectX / Waveout drivers instead. Error details: (code:0x80040154)
Unknown Error Code!"

In Windows 7 the emultator has worked perfectly!

Better yet, he should follow the message and get the latest DirectX runtime.

Edit: I'm not sure if Windows 8 comes with the DX 9.0c, the emulator works for me but then I had installed games which installed DX9 without need to downaload it again (even in that fresh new windows 8 install after the memory stick broke and did corrupt a lot of files). He should not have issues with XAudio, but...

You still need to run the DirectX end user installer and PCSX2 still does that when you install it via setup.exe.
