Won't even start the BIOS
#1
I've downloaded PCSX2 version 0.9.4 today, i spent about an hour messing around with the settings, i read the FAQ and the setup guide on this forum and have conficured PCSX2 to what i think are the bst settings for my computer, but the program just won't start the BIOS.

Comp specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo @ 1.86GHz
2GB DDR2 RAM
Realtek Nvidia Geforce 8500GT with 512MB VRAM

If you need any more information on my settings I can upload some screenshots.

Crashes witouth any error or anything. Just disappears off the screen.

Screens in a few minutes.

have you tried both exes or playground?
How about setting the bios folder?

First,to run the bios you must use the cdvdnull plugin,as the guide clearly states, then use Run->Execute
Secondly, the GSdx plugin is highly recommended over the ZeroGS these days, get it here:

Thanks, that helped.

About GSdx, wich of the three that are in the download (SSE2, SSE41, SSSE3) should I use or wich one is faster?

Whichever highest you can run, you will get an error if you are can't so you will easily know.

SSE4>SSSE3>SSE2. Not sure what kind of Core 2 duo you have,it MIGHT support SSE4 but it surely supports SSSE3
