Won't run
#1
Hi all, i have an interesting problem. Pcsx2 wont run, when i get to the part after configuration, when it says validating settings, the windows message comes us Pcsx2 stopped working. tried several versions, compatibility mode, running as administrator, it's all the same. i have windows 8. last year i was playing on windows 7 without a problem. my system isn't too strong, but i was having a smooth gameplay with all those speedhacks,
my specs then and now:
Intel celeron dual core 2.5ghz, now oc'ed to 3.32ghz
my vcard was radeon hd 4350 512mb, now it's asus ghz edition hd 7770.

but i don't think the specs are the problem, cause i'm not even getting to the part to actually need them. i just wont run. can anyone somehow help me? There is no error log in the game folder

You have already chosen all plugins/bios and then it crashes?

Do you use an administrator account or a normal user account with and without temporary admin-rights? Maybe you don't have file-access (write) privileges to the pcsx2-folder? Had a similar problem with a different program and it sound as if pcsx is crashing during saving settings.

Maybe you have strange characters in the filepath to pcsx2.exe?

No strange characters in the filepath, yes i choose all the plugins(no option to chose the bios there), click next, and it crashes. i am the only user of my PC, tried running it as admin, no use

Try making sure pcsx2 is not in the program files section. That's why I prefer the binaries version or an SVN.
OS: Linux Mint 17.2 64 bit (occasional Antergos/Arch user)
(I am no longer a Windows user)
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258
GPU: Nvidia GTX 650 Ti

or higher version of sse if available.

But it seems to me that he has a problem during initialization of USBnull or FWnull since then the log is aborted. Maybe just download these dll's again?

What is this PeopsSPU stuff? I think Pete's plugin is excluded since some versions or?

he cannot use higher SSE because he has celeron.

admit he is using the installer best to delete all the inis in the ini folder.
start back to the 1st-time configuration wizard.

Thanks for the help guys, i uninstalled and installed again, and remowed that peops plugin, it was causing trouble, even tho it wasn't selected. now it works like a charm. a steady 60fps without speedhacks.
