I'm looking at current gen options and a wired generic (not made by Microsoft) xbox one controller. Eg pdp or more likely molyhood makes.
Would these be compatible with pcxs2? Being a generic brand, I'm a little cautious about compatibility but not too keen to pay £45-60 for an official one and dingle.
Thanks all

If it works on windows,on will work on pcsx2
The only problem you may encounter is PC games(some require xinput and the most generic gamepads are usually DInput only)

I have an Xbox One PDP controller and it works fine, back in the day, I had some random no name brand Xbox 360 controller and that worked perfectly fine as well.
