XInput Wrapper for DS3 and Play.com USB Dual DS2 Controller
Update..
I'm down to the ScpService would not auto pair. Required ScpServer to manually pair, after which the service would resume repairing on its own, but I have to plug in the USB first for the initial connection.
Not the end of the world, I am happy.

Edit..
oh, there was something about a dropdown under Scp virtual bus in 'devices by connection' of device manager. I do not have that, and I don't remember what page I read it....

Hello, just wondering if you could add my Bluetooth Hardware IDs?

USB\VID_05AC&PID_8218&REV_0041
USB\VID_05AC&PID_8218

I tried adding them myself to the BthWinUsb.inf and BthWinUsb.cat files but I couldnt figure out how to edit BthWinUsb.cat.
Thank you!

USB\VID_0B05&PID_1788&REV_0449
USB\VID_0B05&PID_1788

But I tried to make it work on Windows 8 64, and the ScpDriver always skip the bluetooth driver installation.

On Windows 7

On Windows 8

Any help will be appreciated.

I think I may be having the same issue.
Hi, could you also help add my Bluetooth Hardware IDs?

USB\VID_0A5C&PID_2190&REV_0681
USB\VID_0A5C&PID_2190

Thanks!
Issue: Bluetooth Driver Not Loading

Symptoms
Steps Taken
My bluetooth adapter lists 2 HIDs:
  • USB\VID_0A5C&PID_21E8&REV_0112
  • USB\VID_0A5C&PID_21E8

I verified that USB\VID_0A5C&PID_21E8 was present in System\BthWinUsb.inf and added USB\VID_0A5C&PID_21E8&REV_0112 (under both [SCProductions.NTx86] & [SCProductions.NTamd64]) as a precaution. (I also attempted the process without REV_0112 added.)

"Force install" being checked did not help install the BT drivers.

I also attempted unplugging and reconnecting the DS3 controller via USB, as well as the USB BT adapter, including shuffling the BT adapter between USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports.

I also attempted rebooting after installation, as well as reinstalling the driver a couple times, including from a non-protected location (as opposed to in Program Files). Nothing helped.

I've attached the ScpDriver.log for a round trip of install -> uninstall -> install. I'm also pasting the contents of a successful(?) install below.

First off, I just want to say thanks for this - it works great with getting my PS3 controller working via USB and Bluetooth. Smile

But I have a question. What all Bluetooth stuff did it install? Since installing all the stuff, my bluetooth dongle no longer works like it said in the OP (you cannot use the dongle for other things apparently). Would opening up the ScpDriver.exe file and clicking Uninstall allow me to use my dongle for other items again? Or would I have to do more?

Thanks. Smile
I just wanted to say, (And registered to do so) thank you very much to Scarlet.Crush for this guide and the utilities. I got a DS3 working over bluetooth on a bootcamp'd macbook air, for use in Phantasy Star Online. I realize this is not the direct intention of this (or this site) but I've been looking all over for solutions to my issue for weeks. I will return on occasion to look for updates, and am interested in learning how to use the tools listed in the OP as well as looking into lilypad to configure things.

Thanks again
I'm having the exact same issue as amghowdoibluetooth.

I'm using Windows 8 64 bit and this specific Bluetooth adaptor:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plugable-Bluetoo...+bluetooth
I managed to solve my issue by using the "force install" option, that way the bluetooth driver gets installed.

This tool works great.
An annoying issue...if I have my controller plugged in and I start up, for example, Skyrim, it will be in controller mode. That's fine, my controller is plugged in. So I close the game, unplug my controller and open Skyrim again...still in controller mode. The only way to get out of controller mode is if I restart my computer. Please fix this, it's incredibly annoying. This happens with any game that has controller support, it will default to controller mode over m/kb. This was never an issue in your older version where it would be necessary to have the xinput dll in the folder for the controller to work. If you wanted to stop using controller mode/not use it at all, you could just remove the .dll. Simple. Also, since Windows 8.1 update is nearing, it would be fantastic if you could get this working properly with 8.1. Thanks.

tl;dr is this a known issue where there's a constant disconnect-reconnect when using it with USB

It's just doing this constantly and at random, usually several times in a row
