@damron17: Need to find out what driver files are getting loaded for the X360 controller.
1. Open the System panel [Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System]
2. Click Advanced System Settings.
3. Select the Advanced tab.
4. Click the Environment Variables... button.
5. In the System variables group box, click the New... button.
6. Variable name -> DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES
7. Variable value -> 1
8. Click OK.
9. Click OK.
10. Click OK.
11. Close Device Manager if it is open.
12. Open Device Manager.
13. On the menu bar select - View -> Show hidden devices.
14. Expand the Microsoft Common Controller For Windows Class node.
15. Double-click on one of the grayed out entries.
16. Select the Driver tab, take a screenshot.
17. Click the Driver Details button, take a screenshot.
18. Post the screenshots as attachments.
@RenegadeRacer: ok, so have been troubleshooting a similar scenario with damron17. Please follow the steps outlined in Post #2271, #2273, #2279 and above reply.
