XInput Wrapper for DS3 and Play.com USB Dual DS2 Controller
@unvaluablespace: the having to run XInput games as administrator in Win8 thing is a "feature" of the OS, nothing I can do in the driver.
See Posts #189, #193 and #202 for workarounds.

Couple of reasons for changing to Local System account
1. Was reported that Local Service had issues on Win 8.
2. Local Service couldn't write the log file to a Program Files location.

Ah ok I will look into those workarounds. So your saying in windows 7, a user won't have to "run as administrator" all the time with your drivers? I ask cuz my brother is hesitant against trying your drivers, but already its less of a headache than motioninjoy, and I would like the last nail in the coffin to convince him to try it lol. Smile
Found the reason for requiring "Run as Administrator" for XInput, fix attached.

Changed call from IoCreateDeviceSecure() to IoCreateDevice() when creating child devices.

Update Alpha 2
1. Unpack the archive.
2. Stop the Service [net stop "SCP DS3 Service" - from an elevated command prompt, or use SCM]
3. Close ScpMonitor.
4. Copy the contents of the ScpServer\bin to the directory you created.
5. Run ScpDriver.exe as Administrator.
6. Uncheck Configure Service, then click Install.
7. Start the Service [net Start "SCP DS3 Service" - from an elevated command prompt, or use SCM]

XInput now usable without requiring Administrator permissions.

Edit : Attached the wrong archive, please re-download.

Scarlett,

Doesn't Seem to work for me. :-\ bummer. In fact, xbox 360 accessories status doesnt pop up anymore at the press of the home button, even when trying to run it as administrator. Obviously not a big deal, just something I figured I would point out. Games still work when run as administrator though. Just odd that your fix only seems to have messed up that one thing for me.

EDIT: AUGH! I have got to be the worst tester ever! Lol. My apologies for the previous statement, it seems to be working now. I had gotten that infamous "FBI is watching you" spyware crap on my pc, and cleaning my system was long overdue. After doing a scan and cleaning problems, the drivers seem to be working without having to run as administrator. Thank you! Although for some reason the Xbox status popup has stopped working ever since your update. But again, not a big deal. Smile battlefield 3 won't let me go on multiplayer for some reason, so I'll have to fix that tomorrow, but campaign worked and I assume its the same program so if the controller works there, it should in multiplayer as well. Thanks Scarlett! You rock!
@unvaluablespace: please re-download, bit of a mistake when doing the upload Blink.
is it possible to run this over blutooth and how do i use this with dolphin ?
Scarlett,

Sorry I didn't get back sooner. Been busy. But I did update the download like you asked, though I did not notice any difference after I got it working myself. Smile But I did get a chance to test bf3 and can confirm it working in multiplayer as well.

Mikezilla2,

I can confirm it works in Dolphin, both via usb and Bluetooth. To use it with Dolphin, you go into game controller settings and configure each input for the controller you want to use. Be sure to select "Xinput/0/Gamepad" for your device, although if you have more than one controller connected, the "0" might be a "1" or "2" etc. Also, keep in mind that Scarlett's drivers currently emulate an xbox 360 controller, So if you plan to use it with Wii games, don't expect the motion controls in the DS3 Controller to work, although pretty much every button on the controller works. Smile

I should also point out that the drivers are only in testing stages at the moment, until Scarlett deems otherwise. As for Bluetooth support, You will have to either look through this thread to see if you have a compatible Bluetooth adapter, or politely request Scarlett to add in your Bluetooth adapter's PID & VID.
thanks , yea i got it working sorry i asked before trying it , how ever - LilyPad/Pokopom - KrossX's Pad Plugin and or ether is just for PCSX2 and others right ? i have no real plans to use the motion controls but i do plan to use some wii games later down the track - is there anyway of using the ps move with it like motion joy ? for now im just using it for CG games , im just wondering about the blutooh tho i see no interface for pairing or anything like that - a read me txt file would also be handy having said that both of the blu tooth drives i have on hand were compatible with with motion joy , ended up buying a cheap one to use just for motion joy , after i found out about this software on this forum i went ahead and removed m joy , so yea il see about getting the id - got a list of what works ?

controller model number is :CECHZC2H
@mikezilla2: added your hardware id, overlay the contents of the archive on your install dir, stop the service, run ScpDriver, uncheck "Configure Service", click Install, start the service again.

Pairing : to pair your DS3, plug it in via USB while the Service is running. If it requires pairing the service will automatically pair it for you.

The supplied custom LilyPad (or Pokopom) in conjunction with supplied XInput1_3.dll provide pressure sensitive button input for PCSX2. They are not required for any other games.

I currently have no plans to support the Move controller.
