XInput Wrapper for DS3 and Play.com USB Dual DS2 Controller
Great driver, it works as a charm. But how do I use the motion sensing capabilities of the ps3 sixaxis and not just as an xbox360 controller?

My controller was working fine earlier this week. Sometime in the last couple days, it managed to stop working. When I checked the server and monitor, it would list the controller slot as "Reserved", but it clearly was receiving feedback from the connected controller.

Attached is an example of the Monitor detailing the issue. The Server used to appear similarly, but hasn't since I tried uninstalling/reinstalling.

Thus far, I have tried, in many different combinations:
  • Toggling the SCP Service
  • Uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them from the same location.
  • Trying different installation configurations.
  • Uninstalling the drivers and reinstalling them from a different location.
  • Disconnecting and reconnecting the controller.
  • Resetting the controller via the small reset button.
  • Restarting my computer.

I've spent several hours each night trying any troubleshooting tricks I can. I've attempted to Google the problem, and most of the results are from this thread. I found one guy who seems to have had the same problem, but he didn't seem to resolve it and hasn't posted in half a year.

Effectively, the Host Name is perpetually Disconnected, even when it recognizes the pad and lists it as Charging.

I have never used this controller with a BlueTooth Dongle. It has always been wired to my PC in the same slot with the same cable. Nothing has changed recently. I haven't reset. I haven't tinkered with the SCP driver. I have no clue what caused this. But I've tried disconnecting, uninstalling, reconnecting, reinstalling, in as many orders as I can. I've followed all tutorials on properly installing to ensure there is no conflict and all the drivers are installed properly. I'm at a loss at this point.

Anyone have an idea what's wrong?

I have had the same issue myself. What I did was reset the controller as you have already done. Resynched it to the PS3, uninstalled SCP and moved the cable location to a different USB port, reinstalled SCP and it worked. I have had to do this a few times. Hopefully that will work for you.

Re-synced to the PS3 twice now, and I even tried swapping the cable port. I was optimistic that reinstalling it that way would work, because it said it was reinstalling the drivers for Windows, but no such luck.

Anyone have any other suggestions?

I dont know if you are on desktop or laptop, but if you are on desktop, try moving the dongle to the front ports or using an USB 2.0 A-Male to A-Female Extension Cable, to get it far from the motherboard, it could be causing interference. I had that exact problem when i plugged mine on tha back of my cabinet after testing it on the front ports, at first i thought it was the ports, so i just leaved it plugged on the front, but a few days ago I tried with an extension and voila, my problems were mostly gone, every now and then i get a little lag but its mostly from the software side, it also happened plugging it on the front, and on linux i dont have that problem.

As a sidenote, I dont know why you installed it with zadig, it shouldnt be necessary. If you had any problem, going to device manager and searching for the bluetooth adapter, you replace the driver for the generic one, and then yopu install SCPDriver, it should work, but well you already got it working most of it soo this is moot now.

After hours of confusion, and not to mention frustration, I went and bought another dongle; and it arrived the following day. I rolled back all my drivers and did a fresh install of SCP as per the instructions and it had the exact same issue. That's when it hit me. How could I have been so stupid to not think it was latency? I assumed as I got a connection, the stuttering was due to incompatibility. Anyhow, after simply swapping USB port to a redundant USB3 port, the dongle works (almost) flawlessly. There is occassionally a little stutter, but it is 99% better than it was previously.

It was a little embarrassing considering I spent probably cumulatively the best part of a day on this issue - and I didn't rule out one very simple factor. Laugh

tl;dr - used a different USB port fixed everything, and I spent some needless money on an additional dongle.

No worries, now I can game wirelessly whilst transferring files to my phone.. R-r-right guys?? Blush

P.S. I used the Zadig tool as I was getting desperate and wanted to try every avenue possible before resorting to another dongle.. Which was rather futile anyway.
Hi, i uninstalled motioninjoy then installed SCP DS3, for use ds3 via bluetooth i installed zadig then everything works fine, but i recognized that after every reboot my computer bluetooth connection is not working and i have to instal zadig after every reboot for use my ds3 via bluetooth, do you know how can i solve that...
Hello there. Thanks for this great program.

Did you installed the driver with zadig? It sounds like the problem is that you didnt
nevermind. Was having trouble setting up DS3 wireless and then getting it to work in retroarch without configuring it every time I exited the program. I seem to have it working flawless now. And it's great! Thanks for the program.
Hi

When I plug the thing with a cable ik works perfectly, thanks for that

but I tried by bluetooth and it's not detected. (My smartphone is detected, but it goes slowly when I transfer files, no Bluetooth 4.0)

I have W8.1, MSI GS70, the Bluetooth Drivers... so do you have a clue ? thank you
