I would like to use my PS3 sixaxis controller as gamepad with my PC for PC games, no emulator (like shadow of mordor, witcher 3, steam games). I'm trying to set this up but am not very good with technical details.

Can I use this for wired connection of controller to PC, not bluetooth? I don't have dongle and prefer to use controller plugged in.

Does this mirror Xbox360 gamepad, or how do controls work? Do I map each button to keyboard key for each game?

Thank you very much and apologies for my english!

Yes, you can. In fact, that is the easiest part. Bluetooth is what gives people the most trouble. Once connected, it acts as an Xbox 360 pad and you only need to change the mappings if your game doesn't have native gamepad support. Follow the instructions on the first post. If you need help beyond that, that's what the forums are for Smile

P.S. Your english is pretty good.

Hi, can I use the internal Bluetooth from my laptop instead of USB bluetooth dongle? The Hardware ID for my bluetooth is USB\VID_13D3&PID_3362. And that is included in the ScpServer-0.7.0.96-Bth-Update-10.7z. But I can't connect my DS3 through my laptop bluetooth.
Can you post the output of the installer? E.g. It's log

It looks like it installed the bluetooth stuff properly.

Will it connect via USB?

What happens if you run SCPPair?

Hello, I seem to have encountered a problem with connecting my new PS3 controller to my PC and I was hoping I could get some assistance from someone here. I found out that it was one of the newer models and it wasn't supported by the SCP server version I had, so I went ahead and downloaded the latest version files and it worked almost perfectly I could finally connect via bluetooth and use it well, but I can't get the vibration function to work even in the SCP server program vibration test and I was wondering if there was some way to fix it or is it a bug in the program? All my other older PS3 controllers work fine, including the vibration function, but the newer controller doesn't seem to work as far as that goes, I use it to play most PC games that have joystick support but no vibration.

Another issue that I found was that the newer controller doesn't always connect via bluetooth even though it is paired, I have to stop it and start it several times to get it connected but either way the vibration doesn't work. It is an authentic Sony Sixaxis Dualshock 3. This other issue isn't too big of a deal to me but I would like to get it fixed if possible. I'm pretty adept with a computer, and I'm sure I'll find a way sooner or later but I'm hoping to save time and see if anyone has encountered similar problems and has found a solution. Thanks!
Does the vibration work over USB?
