XInput Wrapper for DS3 and Play.com USB Dual DS2 Controller
I thought I'd give this a try at the recommendation of another FFXI player. Motioninjoy is clunky and annoying and has started causing me blue screen issues due to the drivers anytime my usb unplugs oddly.

After following the instructions I was eventually able to get most everything working aside from the trigger buttons. Not that they aren't working, simply that FFXI can't detect input from them and I can't assign any buttons to them since the FFXI config won't accept the input. I read through some of this thread and scanned much of the rest. I saw a few posts about switching the bumpers and triggers but I use all the buttons so it really isn't an option for me. It seems the issue is an input type issue. Is there anyway to mod something so the program can parse the input and spit out a regular button press? It would help out immensely if this could be done by any means, even an additional program. I apologize if I've missed any additional posts addressing this issue.

Additionally I have a Broadcom BCM20702 bluetooth 4.0 USB dongle. It's ID is USB\VID_0A5C&PID_21E8&REV_0112 and it appears to be on your list but even following the directions, I'm not quite sure I'm doing it right. That support would be in the update file right?

Thanks for your work on this project, it's pretty awesome and well made. I wish I could use it right now but I don't have enough buttons!

Honestly, it's because the controller is recognized as a xbox controller. They don't work with FF11 either, at least the triggers don't.

I simply remap a few buttons with FF11 config.
L1= usually autorun, I made this Ctrl for macro palette
R1= usually logout (really not needed) I made this Alt for macro palette
Finally I change Right stick push in to autorun, since i dont zoom in to first person ever.

The thing to get used to is just the macro palettes being "higher" on the controller. Takes about a day or two and good to go.
Thanks for the suggestion. I could reformat my buttons and adjust but I really need every button I can get. View change is something I'd prefer not to loose though I could technically just hit the 5 on the numpad so it wouldn't be terrible. I use R1 as a trigger to switch game instances and start and select and the PS3 button are all used as trigger spells to take some action on my alt. If it's not an option and it never will be, that's fine, I'll get a new adapter and use my ps2 controller and loose a single button and wireless or go regretfully back to motioninjoy and just secure my usb so it can't disconnect.
So I try to download the driver package and every time I open it it says that the file is corrupt

! C:\Users\Nyte\Downloads\ps2\SCP-DS3-Driver-Package-1.0.0.103.7z: The archive is corrupt

I guess I should also include my dongle that I'm using and see if it is supported fully.

This is the hardware ID

USB\VID_0A5C&PID_21E8&REV_0112
USB\VID_0A5C&PID_21E8

And this is the dongle itself

I believe that is the same dongle that I have, or atleast it uses the same chipset. Either way I just discovered that mine (link above) does NOT support EDR so I'm assuming that the dongle that I have isn't going to be compatible? Its hardware ID is on the list so I don't know.

I see that the HID is on the compatibility list but I don't know if that's just a chipset design like how different wireless USB adapters can use the same chipset but perform differently. I read something about EDR and from what I can see my specific device (and I could be wrong) doesn't seem to support EDR. Would I have to buy a different dongle entirely?

The laptop that I also use has a built in bluetooth adapter and it's 2.1 + EDR. It works with MIJ and my DS3 control right now so I would assume that this would also work granted that I can get a working download.
Software works great through usb but can't pair with built-in Asus bluetooth. it is 2.1+edr hardware id is USB\VID_0B05&PID_179C&REV_0001
.
updated because i gave the wrong hid #.
@hoeboo It works fine on my Asus Zenbook

Would it be possible to turn this into a complete BTstack so that I don't have to uninstall whenever I want to use my BT mouse?
I'm also looking to ditch MIJ. I'm having one problem:

I had been using MIJ to use the D-Pad and left shoulder buttons on My DS3 for movement and jumping in Team Fortress 2. With Scarlet's drivers I cannot move diagonally in the game. If I map the analog stick to fwd/back/lft/rt in the game settings it works, but not if I map the D-pad buttons (which I prefer).

I remember having the same problem in MIJ, but it could be fixed by changing to a certain set of drivers within MIJ. I would go back and check exactly what it was, but I'm not reinstalling MIJ and its BSOD issues back onto my computer.

Other than that everything works great. The D-pad buttons do work diagonally in the emulators I have tested (Nestopia,ZSNES), just not in TF2/Portal.

Thanks Scarlet.Crush for the good work!
Lol, Scarlet, gave up on my case? I was about to give up myself, but I spent so much time trying to make it work that I thought it would work eventually

Guess I'll just have to buy a receiver for the Xbox controller. Well, thanks anyway for taking your time to try to help me
I'm not Scarlet! Just because I used the @username does not mean Scarlet gave up! Sorry for the confusion. Wacko
I bought a second bluetooth adapter because the instructions said the DS3 driver "takes over" the whole adapter. However after plugging the second adapter in, I'm not getting the bluetooth icon in the system tray. I'm just trying to make it so I can use my ps3 controller and wii controller without having to uninstall the DS3 drivers each time, is it possible?
