@Zolcillonca: glad to hear you got it working.

@BendinG: your dongle is an early REV of the CSR chipset, it doesn't support EDR.

@ckm_ckm: using Zadig as per Post #1851 allows WinUSB to be installed onto any USB BTH Dongle which is not on the Supported list. It does not guarantee that the dongle will be usable - the dongle must still support BTH 2.0+EDR for DS3, BTH 2.1+EDR and fully support Secure Simple Pairing (SSP) for DS4.

@Tizon: it sounds like MotionInJoy has left some driver files in place.

1. Open Device Manager.
2. On the menu bar select View -> Devices by connection.
3. Expand the Scp Virtual Bus Driver node, and any sub-nodes.
4. Post a screenshot.

@damron17: sorry, didn't see your previous post.

OK, so the only things I've seen that cause Blue Screens/Freezing are driver files left around after trying to uninstall MotionInJoy or outdated versions of the MS X360 drivers. So I think we will have to eliminate issues step by step.

1. Uninstall the SCP Drivers and Service.
2. Reboot.
3. Make sure you have downloaded the SCP 1.1.0.136 Drivers & Tools & 1.1.0.139 Update.
4. Extract them into the same directory - Drivers first, then Tools, then Update.
5. Make sure your DS3 is connected by USB.
6. Run ScpDriver, uncheck Configure Service & Bluetooth Driver.
7. Click Install.
8. Open Device Manager.
9. Expand the System Devices node.
10. Delete the Scp Virtual Bus Driver, check Delete the driver software for this device.
11. Run ScpServer.exe.
12. Run ScpUser.exe from ScpServer\bin\Win32.
13. Verify that inputs from your DS3 are displayed correctly.
14. Report back.

@Catastrophe: that is normal if you have not installed Bluetooth functionality. Host => Bluetooth dongle status.

@CNotez: yeah, I see the same thing with my DS4s - no problem on back panel ports, Windows does not recognise they are connected on front panel ports [no issues with any other devices - DS3s, USB Stick, USB HDD, iPhone].

My controller shows up on the ScpUser.exe but no buttons are shown being pressed when I press them.

1. On ScpServer is the packet counter for Pad 1 continuously incrementing?
2. On ScpUser - click Advanced and slide the Rumble sliders fully to the right. Does your DS3 Rumble?
3. Did you only run 1 copy of ScpUser? [only 1 instance can use the Native Feed at a time].

Can you do the following -

1. Open Device Manager.
2. Expand the Universal Serial Bus devices node.
3. Should see 1 DS3 USB Device. Double-click it to see it's Properties.
4. Click the Driver tab, take a screenshot.
5. Click the Driver Details button, take a screenshot.
6. Post the screenshots as attachments.

1.The numbers aren't moving on Scpserver
2.No rumble in the controller from moving those
3. I'm using only one Scpuser. I even made sure of it in task manager.

I included the attachments for the Drivers tab in the DS3 Device and the Driver details but I'm hoping that is what you was wnating from me when it comes to the Driver details. If not I'll take more screenshots if needed.

Ok. I did that with that alt+prntScrn this time. and zipped up the log file

@damron17: ok, so driver files look good but It looks like your DS3 needs to be reset.

1. Disconnect your DS3 from USB.
2. Wait till the LEDs stop flashing.
3. Insert a paper clip into the reset hole on the back of your DS3.
4. Gently increase pressure until you feel a slight click.
5. Hold for 10 seconds, then remove.
6. Plug it back in to USB.
7. Verify that on ScpServer the counter for Pad 1 is incrementing and it is showing Charging or Charged for the battery status.
8. Verify that you can see button presses & axis changes in ScpUser.
9. Test Rumble using the sliders.

My buttons are being read and its showing charging on pad 2. I'm surethis will change to pad 1 once I reinstall it. Rumble works now too.

@damron17: cool, first issue dealt with - we now know your DS3 is working fine with USB and driver files for DS3 USB are loaded and running correctly.

Just exit out of ScpServer and run it again to get your DS3 onto Pad 1.

Next up is to verify your BTH Dongle installation.

I'm not using a Blue tooth dongle. I don't have one for the computer. I'm just using the usb cord
