XInput Wrapper for DS3 and Play.com USB Dual DS2 Controller

I'm trying to play through the gta 3 games on steam. In vice city nothing but dpad/ both analog sticks work. In San Andreas left analog stick, dpad, and some of the face buttons work. My question is, how do I configure the controller's mappings? I've tried googling and looking through this page for quite a bit and feel like I'm missing something obvious. Thanks for any help.

edit: also profile manager accessed through right clicking on scp monitor shows all buttons being recognized.

GTA games use DirectInput and their controller support is garbage. Use the GInput mod for all them that adds proper Xinput support and restores rumble in III/VC

SA http://gtaforums.com/topic/526235-asi-ginput/
Note that for SA you need 1.0 hoodlum exe for it to work.
CPU: Intel Core i7-10700K 3.8 GHz (Turbo 5.1 GHz)
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 (8 GB)
RAM: Corsair 32GB KIT DDR4 3200MHz CL16 Vengeance LPX
MOBO: Asus TUF GAMING Z490-PLUS
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit

ty very much

edit: gta3/vc work perfectly while SA still doesn't work. Is hoodlum.exe a nocd crack? If so, will it mess with my steam account? I downgraded my SA from the steam version to 1.0 using something posted on the steam forums.
Does this driver method, work with the chatpad?

I had this 241 problem a few months ago.
241 happens if its a crappy cable and the connection isn't good (because of the cable being crappy). I put the cable aside, and then tried it again on a mp3 player a few weeks ago, and the end broke off the damn cable when I disconnected it from my mp3 player. So yea, the 241 error means don't trust that cable Smile

After struggling with the 241 charging issue for months, I seen Dink's post & bought a new cable which instantly resolved the issue.

The reason it took so long to pinpoint ....charging cable is 100% working unless the controller battery is completely drained(wont turn on - no lights) ...I'm thinking the charging circuit cannot complete/connect properly if power is completely drained from controller...due in whole to the flaky charging cable.

This issue should be added to the OP.
I installed the program and the DS3 is working fine through USB, but, i can't make it work with the Bluetooth device. When i plug the controller out the Bluetooth device doesn't connect with the DS3. I didn't have any problems at installation. The BTH DS3 Device is installed.

Can someone help me?
I'm running Windows 7 64-bit with the latest XInput Wrapper (v1.2.2.175).
The driver is running fine with this Dualshock 2 USB adapter,
but it is not working with this Play.com USB Dual DS2 adapter (MaXpro-branded, usb ID 0b43:0003) (no joystick device are recognized).
Hey, guys! Need some help. I feel like I'm almost there, but I'm still missing something.

I was finally able to get my Dualshock 3 controller to be recognized as a 360 controller. Problem now is that I can't seem to calibrate the controller. Even after plugging it in, the LED still flashes, even though the icon shows that it's in. When I open the SCP monitor, it says:

Host Address: Disconnected

and on the other side, it shows Pad 1: DS3 00:00:00:00:00:00 - Reserved

Can someone please tell me what I might be doing wrong? Btw, I'm totally using it in wired form, not BT.

Edit: Nevermind. It's good now. Thanks for such an awesome program.
Just installed the drivers and it works great with steam. My problem is that I want to use xpadder with the controller for an older non-steam game, but whenever I try to configure the profile it does not detect the controller. Same if I try to configure through the control panel. It shows up in the devices but is missing when I try to configure.

(not using bluetooth btw).

Any help would be appreciated.
Hey ScarletCrush, I notice that your description of ScpPair.exe is "GUI tool to allow pairing a DS3 with an external device (eg Nexus Tablet)."

Does that mean it's possible to use it to use as a controller on say, a Galaxy S4, through the Sixaxis Controller app? I know it's possible to do so with an OTG cable, but I don't currently have one.
I don't get any kind of detection, what should I do to provide troubleshooting? I'm on Windows 8.1 with my DS3 via USB.

My Computer Detects the Playstation ® 3 Controller but that's about it. ScpMonitor doesn't detect anything.
